Later this month, K.M. Herkes’ new book will be out. Titled The Sharp Edge of Yesterday, this is from the same world as Rough Passages. In fact, it’s a sequel. However, where the first volume was a collection of stories, Sharp Edge is a novel. And not a small one either, being well over four hundred fifty pages.

If you had some favorite characters from Rough Passages, the odds are good they’ll be back in Sharp Edge, including Jack Coby (who really seems to just be everywhere important) and my personal favorite from the original volume, Valerie Wade. We have some new characters too, like Heather Gardner, Sal Moretti, and Grace Reed.

The book starts off slow, taking some time to introduce new people while establishing what our old friends have been up to in the years since we last saw them. And if you’re like…
